NWR: No matter how you feel about NYPD right now...

please say a prayer or send a good thought out to my FH. he works in South Jamaica, Queens in the area that the big controversial shooting happened, and let's just say it hasn't been easy these past few days. this has nothing to do with how you might feel about the shooting (excessive or not excessive), but my FH is a good cop who is just doing his job on the streets right now....and well he's getting many leering looks and lots of threatening remarks from the residents out there...just when he's walking around or patroling.

i am sorry for the family of the shooting victim from sat. night, but my FH is MY famil;y and now because of all this fall-out, i have to worry that someone will retaliate against him. please keep him and all officers that were NOT involved in any of this drama in your thoughts.

It's the ignorance of generalizing that makes any situation dangerous.

As much as people might think about cops right now, they are still needed. Of cause there are going to be a few bad apples, but there are a lot of good ones too. I am sure your FH is one of the best.

MY FFIL is a retired cop and is one of the best people I know...God Bless your FH and always keep him safe

MJDoc12....where in Queens does your FH work? Mine also works in that area...he is in the Fresh Meadows area...I know how you feel...

God Bless your FH for what he does every day. I cannot imagine what it must be like for you to worry each day that he will come home safely.
Although what happened is sad, we definately need to remember that these men and women are still putting their lives on the line to protect us

Fresh Meadows is more northern Queens- Jamaica is south Queens.

He will come home to you sweetie......we are all behind you both!!!
