NWR: Packing for Atlantis...HELP

NWR: Packing for Atlantis...HELP

FH's family is taking us to Atlantis next week and I am not sure how to pack. We are going to be there Thurs-Sun. Isn't it just sitting poolside all day, or is there more to it (except for the waterslides- I KNOW ALL ABOUT THOSE!)

Anybody thats been there- please help me pack!

i would pack pool stuff and also stuff to wear at night to dinner (e.g. sundresses, etc.). also, you might want some stuff to wear during the day (e.g. shorts, tanktops, etc.) and i would bring sneakers just in case you do any kind of walking or athletic activity

I LOVED Atlantis when I went!

I went at the end of November so it was actually kind of cool....you'll prob have much better weather!

The casinos are pretty chilly....you may want to bring some warmer clothes for that....there's a lot to do indoors there!

Of course, a ton of bathing suits and cover ups since it was cooler there then, it was actually chilly in the shade and I needed warmer cover-ups. Same thing for the dolphin tour and the snorkel tour we did.

Good walking shoes! The place is HUGE!!!!

And one word of advice--the man-made beach is actually a nicer spot then the natural beach, but it fills up really quickly. You need to get there early to get a spot/lounge chairs.

Have so much fun!! FH and I had such an amazing time when we went

Thanks! I don't know what to expect really. And the whole time I am going to either be studying (I have an exam when we get back) or be worrying about the wedding.

I haven't been there - but maybe a few bathing suits, some clothes to lounge around in, and a dress or two for night time dinner? And some tanning lotion

what the other ladies said. And I wanted to mention that Atlantis was so much fun. It was a day excursion when DH and I were on a cruise. We want to go back and stay there this time.

One thing is everything at the shops and the food was expensiveee. I paid almost 30 for a tube of sunscreen!

I'd pack some snacks like granola bars and stuff for snacks between meals

Please report back...I'm going with my DH and his family and I'm HOPING that we have a good time (his parents like to complain a lot). I have only heard GREAT things though! HAVE FUN!

i agree with what the others said

bathing suits and coverups during day
maybe one pair of shorts and a tank top or two
and a sundress for during day if you want
cute dresses for dinner
and a cardigan or two bc it does get cold in casino and restaurants

and def some snacks...the food there is very expensive! we paid 25 dollars for a turkey sandwich!!!!

and its not much of a bargain to take a taxi into town for food because i think the taxi itself is like 25 dollars, but if youre with w a group of people it may be worth it.

FH's whole family will be there including his parents (who are quick to point out they are ok with they son marrying a bigger girl) his BIL (who everytime he sees me says 'got milk') and his 4 and 6 year old nieces....so the ladies GOT to be covered up- but I don't want tan lines for my wedding!

Macy's has some good strapless swimsuits - well they did a few months ago, but for the most part they also have pretty good coverage.

EWWW your BIL has got to stop saying that. Disturbing. I was with my friend and she got a really cute sweetheart swimsuit at loehmans. But you will probably have to shop around since it's not the season anymore and i had a hard time finding matching tops and bottoms. do you have time to order online?

I got all of my strapless suits at VS--my bridesmaids didn't want tan lines either so a couple of them bought the same one! I love them....you can probably get expedited shipping and there are prob some good sales!
