NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

Im going through the final steps to get my insurance to cover the procedure. I was reading a post from 05 about who had implants and saw a lot of pp on here actually had or wanted a reduction. Curious if anyone has and if was the best or worst thing thay did? And which Dr. did you use. I dont know anyone in my circle of friends and family who have done this and im sooooo nervous.

Thanx in advance

I know a co-worker who had it done. She was really nervous too, I know she found a message board that was dedicated to that but I have no idea what the name of it is.

This is one I found for you.

Good luck!!

I had one and it was the best decision I have ever made! I used Dr. Leland Deane and got it done 2 years ago! You will be so happy and feel like a whole new person, I know I did!! If you have any specific questions FM me anytime!! Good Luck!

I've been wanting to have this done for so long. Especially lately, I've had enough. I don't think my insurance will cover it thats the problem. Maybe once we're married and Im on FH's policy they will. Good luck though!

My two cousins had them done (sisterrs)-- one of them doesn't regret it at all-- The other regrets it for two reasons
1) she hates the scars that have remained --even years later (I don't know if that was her doctors poor skills at play though?)
2) She thinks they are now too small.

Re: NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

Thanks for the insight... I know theres so many pros and cons...... I have pretty goos skin and I usually dont scar or even bruse very easily so I hope it wont be that bad. As for going too small I say to people that I want mosquito bites but I know any doctor wouldnt do that ... Im a DDD now noone would do that and in reality I know I wouldnt want them that samll either. I will prob. go to a full C I remember back when I was that size I was really comfortable and I looked like a woman. Thanx everyone for the input keep it coming it all helps.

i really wanna get this done so badly but i dont have any insurance. i'm basically an F and i have severe back pains. i dont know what to do because without health insurance, its at least 5k. :( how long is the recovery time?

Re: NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

Im not sure hoe long the recovery is some people say 2 weeks and some say sooner I think it depends on the person. I was quoted for the surgery @ 11,000 from a good doctor its really expensive because most of the time its done in a hospital and alot of the fees come from that. HTH

I know 2 people who had a reduction....neither live in NY state so don't think their doctors can help you. Neither regret it - said it was the best thing they ever did!

Good luck to you!

Why so much? I was being quoted like i said frim $9-11,000.... I guess dr Bourhill is that good... Im so excited... But I dont want to get that excited yet I still need to get approved the hare part isent over yet by any means.... I cant wait though to get the phone call from the PS saying they approved it...

i really want to get this done too - i get horrible back pains but im scared of the scarring and i am in the middle of loosing a lot of weight so i want to see if that helps the girls go down some...plus im worried what will happen when i get pregnant

Re: NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

i was out shopping for new bras within 3 days... once the drains are removed life is a lot easier and you can really go out...i was concerned about what would happen once i got pregnant and if i would be able to breast feed... my dr told me that i could be a professional wet nurse if i wanted to... as for the scars, they do fade over time, but they are definitely noticable... but im not a professional stripper, so i didnt plan on too many people ever seeing those scars... so they really dont bother me too much...

A friend of mine had it done last week! She's doing well in terms of recovery, but I don't know how she feels about having it done yet.
