NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

Original post by melissa410

Im going through the final steps to get my insurance to cover the procedure. I was reading a post from 05 about who had implants and saw a lot of pp on here actually had or wanted a reduction. Curious if anyone has and if was the best or worst thing thay did? And which Dr. did you use. I dont know anyone in my circle of friends and family who have done this and im sooooo nervous.

Thanx in advance

Some of you posted that your insurance covered the surgery 100% or maybe just a co-pay. Did any of you have Empire for insurance? I didn't find a surgeon who participates in Empire, so if they do cover it, I would have to pay the yearly deductible first. It's a few hundred $$ which I guess isn't bad, but still, I would like to find someone who has Empire insurance. Thanks.

And thanks for starting this thread, no one really talks about this and I've been wanting to do it for a very long time!

Hello I just know that if ur co pay is only a couple hundred $ go for it. Its such an easy thing and if its relly medically needed ur ins. will cover it no problem. Im a 38DDD and my ins is a union plan and their known not to be the greatest ins. and they approved me. So go for it whats the worst thing that can happen they say no. Try u will be supprised. And call ur ins. Co. they might be able to reffer you to a PS thats not in the book and if its a PPO u can go out of network and some PS take that ins. HTH If you have any other questions FM Me. Re: NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

I had a breast reduction 2 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done.. I went from a 36DDD to a Full 34/36D.. My girlfriend had implants done a week after my surgery and no joke, my boobs look JUST like hers!!! My surgeon was THAT good!! I was up walking around that night and was totally ok the next day, I took no painkillers, nothing.. I had no pain, I was very lucky.. the only bad thing was that I was viloently ill when I woke up from the anesthesia.. only lasted a 2-3 hours at most!!

Good Luck!!! Have a Speedy Recovery!!!

Melissa,
Hoping that recovery is coming along for you and that you're not in too much pain.

I would advise you not too eat too much junk stuff because eating good food will help you heal better and nicer.

Hope back and let us know how everything went.

Re: NWR: Please post...Anyone had a Breast Reduction?

Im 4 days PO... Im doing fine alot of swelling but deff. worth it. coming out of the sleep was a little touch and go but I survived. Im pertty mich laying on the couch in and out of sleep and my moms taking me shopping on thurs to get me out of house. But I know my results are going to be unbeliveable. Anyone thinking of doing this I highly recomend it and go for it, it would be the best decision you will ever make... I cant wait to go dress shopping now. But make sure you have a lot of support around cause youll need it.
