NWR: poor FH (lol)

So FH is graduating this Friday and the poor guy thought it would be an hour-long thing.

when i told him it's probably at least 2 hours, he was so upset poor guy

does anyone know how long CW Post graduations take, give or take?

i'm not telling FH that

i'm expecting like 3 hours ... is it even more than that?!??!

i dont remember exactly how long but I remember the feeling of 'wow, is it almost over .. ' and even then - it wasnt ...

They take FOREVER. Well I graduated in 98 and there was a monsoon that day so there was a lot of confusion since they didn't really have a plan in place for rain, and they had find places for 1100 graduates and their families to go. But first there was a general ceremony with all schools (ex education, science, etc) then each school went to a separate ceremony where you walk up and get the diploma. Each ceremony had a bunch of speakers. Honestly, the only thing I remember besides the rain creating chaos was the blow up doll being tossed around all the graduates. And that's what made the front page of Newsday the next day.

PS If it does happen to rain that day and they move it indoors, make a bee-line for the Tilles Center.

i WANTED to stay away but FH really wanted to go so i told him i'd go too ... then when he found out it's going to be more than one hour (lol) he said 'oh, then i don't wanna go either!' ... but his parents are super-overexcited to go so we're kinda stuck.

Me & FH graduated from CWP...YES, it is looooong. Don't remember how long exactly but you gotta wait in a classroom...then line up...then go out to the ceremony w/ all grads together for a while--key note speaker, etc, etc...then you branch out by 'school' (your major) for the diploma ceremony & whatnot...then friends & parents wanna take pics lol. Tell him to get ready for a long, boring day! I did NOT attend my graduation when I got my Masters lol...once for Bachelors was enough
