Anyone hear about the crusie ship that tilted at a 45 degree angle? We are house-sitting for my neighbors and their entire family was on it! They said it was soooo scary. They are all okay. My neighbor's knee hurts here and her sister in law was hurt but nothing major. They are all gettin their money back and are getting flown back to LI.
This is starting to make me reconsider my honeymoon, FH and I want to cruise but now I am starting to change my mind!

wow, how was it able to tilt on an angle like that?? were there serious waves?? that's terrible!
wow, it's like the posieden adventure or something
I think they there was something wrong with the steering of the ship.
Yes the rutter got stuck is what the news said. I would still cruise, anything can happen anyhwere. it was an accident and those people are getting a full refund. Thank God most are ok and no one died
I agree. FI and I booked our HM cruise and we've cruised over a dozen times before and never had a problem. Freak things like this can happen anywhere...I wouldnt worry though, its not a common thing. Thank God no one was killed and I'm glad everyone got their money back!

Superman says 'statistically speaking, flying is still the safest way to travel'
I hope and pray we are all safe on our travels

I know what you mean! I just read an article that said the boat only listed 15 not 45 degrees. But to the passengers on the boat it must have felt like more. FH and I are looking into cruises, and I've never been on one before now I'm afraid with all the accidents in the last few years about getting on one!

this boat....it was also only the 4th time it had went out....not that its a defense...but on certain things...some mechanical things don't pop up until its actually out being used
and i actually leave for a vacation (cruise to the carribean on aug 20th) and i am not worried..i've cruised before...and know tons of other who do them yearly
