nwr: really sad**UPDATE

So I wanted to thank all of you for your good thoughts/words about my mom's surgery today. But last night, there was a problem with the pre-surgery (which was a tube inserted into her leg to prevent blood clots) and my dad took her back to NYC emergency hospital. They've been there all night, and it looks like the tube is going to have to come out. That means no surgery. I'd give anything to see my mom stand up straight and be able to walk more than 10 steps without being exhausted, but I guess some things are not meant to be. Usually when stuff like this happens I tell myself there's a reason, that things happen for a reason, but I'm beyond upset. Im at work right now and have no idea whats going to happen. The major surgery is definitely off. My mom is over the whole thing. She was scared as it was, and now that this happened she'll probably never go back. I don't know what to do with myself. I feel so helpless and sad and angry...




*****My mom is STILL in the hospital. The docs cannot get the tube out of her vein and it is pushing on a nerve. She's on a lot of pain meds and dad said she's really out of it. They have to keep her overnight and try again tomorrow. They are not even sure they'll get it out without resorting to major surgery. They said she is the first one this has happened to in 2 yrs. I just don't understand.... *****

Ugh you poor thing...I can only imagine how tough this must be.

I am so sorry to here about your mom, SMILE & hang in there, she will be fine, just think positive, which I know is so hard right now, but you have to for your moms sake, she has a beautiful wedding to attend and it will give her the strength to get better for your Beautiful Wedding Day, so hang in there kiddo, I just went through a major incident with my mother, I will write about it later....but I must say, I though the worst.. yes, if you would have seen what I found in her condo, it was a nightmare, she was in the hosital for over three weeks in ICCU, but I hung in there and so did she, she is home now after three full weeks in there and getting better every day and I know I will see her walking up the aisle of the church on my wedding day, somehow she will find it in her to walk.... as your mom will too, ....I WILL KEEP YOU AND YOUR MOM IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS..........

Im so sorry that you have to go through this, but know you are not alone, and things really do get better, i have the same situation, and i thought it was terrible and things do get better, my mom is my moh, and she couldnt walk more then 2 or 3 steps so out of breath, and she got her double lung transplant recently and its been a rough road, now were dealing with rejection of the lungs, and we worry everyday will she get better, and they always find it in them to get better, hang in there, it does get easier, i promise.
