NWR: Reducing Bloat

NWR: Reducing Bloat

Hey ladies

Each month during the middle of my cycle (ovulation) I get extreme bloat and discomfort.
Does anyone else experience this?
Also, are there any 'tricks' to reduce this feeling? I already make sure to lower my coffee and salt intake and try to drink lots of water and tea.
Any pills from the drug store maybe??

I do experience a terrible pain at my lower side with bloating during ovulation. Well I do not know of any trick but I am planning on going to the health store to look for some natural product that will aid this discomfort and also PMS.

Hi Michele:

The only thing I can suggest are water pills, but I would be really careful though. If not taken the right way, it can be extremely harmful-believe me, my FH had a bad experience with them. You have to drink lots & lots of water!!! I know it sounds weird, but the more water you intake the less bloat you have. Cut down on salty foods bigtime. Other then that, Im in the same boat as you. I look 4 months pregnant sometimes

BTW.. I love Coldplay too. Concert was friggen sold out in 5 min. needless to say, I couldn't get tickets. I struck out twice - once with coldplay & then with Billy Joel. its just not meant for me

Coldplay rocks, though. I love them.

I use good old Midol - Extra Strength. It works pretty well for bloating and cramps.

Good luck

I exercise....I don't love doing it when I'm feeling bloated...but a 20 minute walk or run usually does the trick for me.

drink water, midol, wait it out.....
if its really bad, talk to your ob/gyn about it.

It sounds strange, but me & my girls take Gas X before we go out. It reduces bloat and we dont get beer gut.

If you go to the health food stores, they have teas for women for that time of month - there is one by Yogi, and another by traditional, I think - anything with fennel and ginger works too - I am a major health store person - only place I shop - so if you are interested I can tell you what I have at home - have a whole bunch!!!
