NWR: Sad Times

I would like to take this moment to mourn the loss of my trusting straightening iron. My hair wouldn't be the same without you, and as I sit at work, I think about how it is going be difficult to replace you!

It's a disappointing loss, but I'll manage. I had a thought recently that something like this would happen, and today as I unplugged it - the plug separated from the iron - I thought I was going to cry, lol.

Can anyone recommend a good straightener??

i hate it when my favorite hair products fail on me after years of trusted service!
Can you find the same straightening iron to replace it?

oh i feel your pain...mine broke thanksgiving
I used a chi which i loved but my friend suggested a babybliss so i tried that instead

Crashing...This made me crack up- I know how you feel. I always have a 'BACK-UP' flat iron in case mine breaks.
I use Solia w/tourmaline plates and it's awesome.

I have the Solia and I love it...oh and I have 2 Hot Tools as back-ups (for traveling and 'just-in-case' lol)

Same here! I use the solia and I have a back up in case of emergencies!

Thanks ladies - it was my trusty Hot Tools that I've had for a million years - I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later - I just wish I had a backup like you girls do! Off to Sephora today!!

i love zoe, they are like 30$ from ulta and work amazingly in my opinion, i used to buy really expensive straighteners then my cosmetologist friend who has a lions mane for hair was using zoe and her hair came out great, i bought one after that and will probably never use another brand.
