NWR: Sag Harbor

Original post by shellee

My DH and I are going to be in Sag Harbor (Baron's Cove) for 2 nights next weekend. Any ideas of where is good to eat/drink/whatever? thanks!

thank you all soooo much!

You know, I just realized that I have been to Sag Harbor once, for a gallery showing. After the showing at Gallery Merz, I went to dinner at an Italian restaurant just a block or 2 away. I wonder if it was il cappucino's.

I don't know if I'll get any responses for I head out at 2, but I was wondering if any of you could recommend any good places for breakfast or brunch (and my DH was wondering if there was any McDonald's =) )

Re: NWR: Sag Harbor

So it turns out that I definitely was in Sag Harbor once before, like I had said. My DH remembered how good the pizza place smalled that was next door to Merz Gallery (Conco D'oro),so he was excited to get to eat there. However, it was closed for the month of Feb. We did eat at il capuccino that time, and we ate there again this time. so yummy. we got out to montauk and we also went to a winery (wolffer) on our way home. got to sleep late which was awesome. it was just so cold, but oh well. As for Baron's Cove, it's really no good for winter lodging. It's one of those places that's real acceptable when you're in a summer town and don't spend much time in the room, but the bed was real uncomfortable and towels like sandpaper. It also wasn't quite as clean looking as I would like. The people that work there are real nice though.

Overall, I had a real good time that weekend.
