NWR: Should I stay or should I go...to this grad party?
A friend of mine from school just graduated. She's been in all my classes since we started....has asked me to hang out several times and I always say no....cause I am always busy. She's having an imformal party at her and her bf's house and it's alllllll the way in Freeport.....don't know anyone but her.....and it's a loooooooong drive. There are 100 things I would rather do with FI than go....but my conscience is telling me I should....so....do I stay...or go???? It starts at 3...i have to work until 2pm...that kills my whole day.......

Yeah...I asked on of my co-workers who is also doing some OT what he thought and he said the same thing....just make an appearance....it just stinks to have to drive all the way from Holtsville to Freeport to make an appearance...but I am gonna go...she's a nice girl.....

Yeah, I would go for just a little bit to make an appearance. Its such a beautiful day, if your FH is going with you maybe you could go down to the Nautical Mile afterwards and take a walk by the water and maybe have a drink at one of the 50 bars on the mile and maybe some dinner. The Nautical Mile is sooo nice when the weather is like this!! Just a suggestion so you won't feel like your driving all that way for nothing. Have fun!!

i agree the naurtical mile is great maybe you and dh can make an appereance and then have dinner in freeport

In my opinion..you can ask yourself are you going to stay friends after this? I have friends from undregrad that I was close with in school..but after graduation, never even saw again, nor do I care to see again. If you want her in your life,then yes...make an appearance,..but if you honestly could care less then dont go..it sounds like ya dont want to anyway!! Go with FH and enjoy!! I say this because DH and I have been RUNNING every weekend, going to this grad party aor this first communion..its something every weekend..my sister finally told me I have to learn to say no and weigh my priorities and I took her advice..its working well for us!! Good luck with whatever you decide!
