NWR - Sinuses

does anybody get sinus headaches? not sure if thats what i have because i never really got them before. there is pressure over my eyes. its really painful. i called sick today because of it and i was also a little nauseous.

what do you take or can you do anything to prevent it? my apartment is very stuffy so i am thinking that may be one of the culprits. I just hate that it puts me out of comission.

thanks

Ugh I get them sooo bad that all the lights and noise have to be off.

I usually take motrin and drink coffee but when its real bad I take Excedrin.

But really nothing works ya just have to sleep it off

I get chronic sinus infections and headaches. It sounds like you have a sinus headache. I just take advil. Hope you feel better.

Hey - I've gotten them a bunch of times. Try taking a decongestant instead of regular advil or tylenol. It might help to clear you up, but make sure you eat first so that you don't get more nauseaus. Feel better!

i'm personally a huge fan of mucinex...it always works for me...

i also find putting pressure on them - trying to force the congestion out helps too...it sounds odd - but beat yourself up...make a fist and tap your forehead....the congestion will literally break up...it sounds insane - but it totally works...

I am all about the Calritin. It works. FH got me sick and we're both on it and it's helping with the congestion and pain.

I would def. open a window though. Dust can really affect allergies which affects your sinuses.

I have been feeling this way and the headache for the last two days. I am also dizzy. It is horrible. I can't wait for the cold weather to come because of it. I usually love summer because of the hot weather but I can't take it anymore.

I used to get them really badly. I saw an ear nose and throat specialist, who told me I had polyps in my sinus cavities. I had a surgery to remove the polyps, and it was the best thing I ever did! I didn't stay in the hospital overnight, and it was a 2 week recovery period. I did this about 7 or 8 years ago, and I very rarely get any sinus headaches anymore. I'd definitely see a specialist if its recurring.
