NWR - started my BCP a day late and...

So, I take Yasmin and I usually start on a Sunday. This last time, I couldn't start until a Monday. It's been like 2 weeks and I've been spotting every day. Sometimes heavy, sometimes not. I usually don't spot this long after I start a new pack, usually just 3 days.

Should I go to the gyno or see what happens after I start a new pack in two weeks?

Has this happened to anyone else before?

I've been on it for about two years. I haven't spotten in forever. Just since I started the new pack a day late...

I think it is happening because you started a day late. I would definitely call your gyno and explain the situation.

It's possible. Not to scare you.... but, you start it on the day they tell you for a reason. I think when you're a day late, you're supposed to take 2 on that Monday..... not 100%, I could be totally wrong.

Just call and find out.

umm, it's a possibility. I would definitely be extra careful and call your gyno. Better safe than preggy

::sigh:: the last time I took two in one day I took them too close together and I got really sick because I had too much estrogen in my body. I couldn't go to work, I was puking ALL day, my head was spinning. It was BAD BAD BAD.

Grrrr. I have no privacy right now...I need to sneak away to call my gyno.

I wouldn't do that.

Call planned parenthood. They're probably still open.

BCP pills can drive you nuts. I know if you do skip a day by accident you are supposed to double up or just take the pill missed the next day as soon as you remember. If you are spotting I would see the doc and maybe switch.....you really shouldnt be spotting just from skipping one day.....but thats just my opinion. I have doubles up on my pills several times and never gotten sick. It all depends on what you take....just be careful and like the other said....use a condom to be safe.

I think its too late....your pills have all different levels as the days go by. At this point doubling up would do nothing since you missed that pill two weeks ago. Call a clinic....they will tell you what to do....they should definitely be open.
