NWR: Super sad today

It's been a rough day ladies. We had to euthanize my cat, Sushi, at 7:30 this morning. She had pancreatitis about a year ago and since than has had issues with digestion and getting sick. There really was nothing we could do for it, just supportive care and she always seemed to bounce back. She just went downhill very quickly last night so I decided to take her to the emergency vet this morning.
My friends got her for me 11 years ago as my Sweet 16 birthday present, she was such a good cat. My heart is very heavy right now, just could use some encouraging words.

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I know exactly how it feels to lose a pet. Most people don't understand the bond between an owner and their pet but it really is heartbreaking. Just know that she's in a better place now.

I am so sorry about your pet. There is nothing I can say to make you feel any better but remember you gave her a great home and a happy life. She is in a better place and at least she is not suffering.

i am so sorry for your loss. i lost my beloved dog last year and as much as it broke my heart to have to put him to sleep knowing that he wasnt suffering anymore helped ease the pain.. you will have bad days and good days and it wont be easy at first but after time you will be happy again and remember all the memories you had with her :)

My thoughts are with you. I had to out down my 15 yr old cat in 2011 and we had him since i was 10 and he was the first oet I had really lost. I was devastated but oddly I had found a kitten outside a few months before and part of me thinks that the kitten (now my almost 3yr old baby!) found me because he knew my other cat was going to be leaving.

It gets a little easier every day but its always still sad :(

I am so so so sorry for your loss. I know it's an absolutely devastating thing to go through. But how lucky she was to have such a caring owner who knew to put her out of her misery and not let her suffer! I promise it will get easier and sooner than you think. <3

I'm so sorry! Pets are so close to us and it's so sad that she declined so quickly. All you can do is think that she isn't in pain anymore and it's the most humane thing you could have done. <3

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what it feels like to lose a pet. FH lost his dog of 16 years last April. It was a really difficult time for everyone. I can only imagine how hard this is for you. My thoughts are with you.
