NWR: teachers and heat

Anyone else's students complain about the heat today as if we are standing on top of an air conditioned floor. By ninth period today I about to lose my mind with the heat and their lack of concern for their upcoming Regents!

Ugh that *****... Im not a teacher, but it blows my mind that LI schools STILL don't have A/C!! I remember sweating my @ss off as a student and then going down to the main/admin office for an errand and it was like 60 degrees in there. UNFAIR!

Yeah, it was HOT! I just keep the lights off, and wish the day was OVER!

You didn't have AC in your schools? I can't even imagine not having AC during this kind of heat. I guess I was just lucky that Middle Country had it.

my kids had a concert today and under the stage lights it was unbareable. We were all disgusting and dripping with sweat by the end of it

We have AC - normally, but it hasn't been working. The school recently purchased a new system, but that doesn't work either. It is so miserable! I have these tiny little windows that face the J train speeding past my room every 5 to 7 minutes. I really hope tomorrow is better. The kids can't work like this.
