I'm a middle school teacher on Long Island. I'm hosting Survivor as an 'Social and Emotional' learning activity. I'm looking for 5 activities that students can play to build sportsmanship, cooperation, etc. I'm hoping they could be 5 minute fun activities that could be done in a group. Once the students get through all five stations, they win. I played it last year and the kids had a lot of fun. If possible, I would like to revise it so it's not the same stations.
TIA

Re: NWR: Teachers....Need Advice
Hey girlie, we did this at camp and it worked awesome..
Each group is given the same materials found in the recyclables, and has to construct a diarama (sorry..spelling not good) of one part of the country. For example, we had egg cartons and one group decided to make colorado... Each one had to have a fact about it as well. The groups were only allowed to speak per person, for instance, each group was given a minute to think quietly. Then, they went around and showing the pieces explained what they saw in the pieces that they had. They then had 10 minutes to, quietly, as a group construct this. It really made the children (ages 12-14) work towards their strengths.
