They are engaged in these endless cycles of self-destructive behavior and expect me to pat them on the back for it. If I try to give them advice or anything I'm accused of 'judging' or 'not knowing what it's like to be single'...maybe I don't know what it's like to be single, but I feel like (and this si where it will sound bad), on some level i know something you don't know at this point, which is how to make a relationship last.
Sometimes, in my more frustrated moments I want to be like 'If you know everything, why are you the one who is single?!' (Not that there is anything wrong with being single, but these people are unhappily single)..
AUGGHH..my friends are so smart and yet so stupid.... (I'm sure I do 100 things that pizz them off too though)

Re: NWR- This is going to sound awful
Oh man, I can relate to this so much! It's interesting because i've been on both sides of the coin. Before I met my FH I was one of those single girls engaging in self-destructive behavior. I think it was just due to desperation and a desire to find someone who actually appreciated me. Now that I have, I look back at the way I was and feel disgusted! Hindsight is 20/29 though ya know? I have quite a few friends (one in particular) who have never been in serious relationships and make fools of themselves when they go out in attempts to get attention from men. I too have tried intervening with no success whatsoever. Let's hope that these individuals meet good guys who like them for who they are sooner than later!!!!

But my single friends annoy me so much sometimes.

I can totally relate. Most of my friends are in serious relationships at this point but some of them still do the same things that we did in college, for example, they obsess over guys, and do things that just turn guys off and then they wonder what went wrong... honestly I am not one to talk because I am no expert and I have SOO been there but sometimes it's frustrating because you want to help your friends and they just can't understand where you are coming from. Someday they will though! Hopefully!
