NWR: This Sunday...(sad)

This Sunday will mark the end of the mourning period for my father as we have the unveiling for his stone at the cemetery. I cannot believe it is almost one year since he is gone. Though I don't think about the loss on a constant basis, there have been many milestones and celebrations since his passing where I shed many tears wishing he was there for us. Next weekend will be mine and my siblings' first 'fatherless' Father's Day. We are all still unsettled and have many mixed emotions ranging from relief (that he isn't suffering) to anger. As I contemplate starting my own family with children, I hope and pray that I will use the many lessons he taught us to raise my children in a loving and giving way. My first child will carry his name (somehow in English or in Hebrew) and will always know what an incredible person their grandpa was.

Though I have said it many times before, thank you to all of the LIWers (06ers and others) who have been and continue to be a wonderful support system to me.

I am so sorry, my thoughts and prayers are with and your family, take some time to reflect on the wonderful memories and things he taught you. I appreciated my dad every day of my life and cherish the times I spend with him

i did not know your father but he must have had one heck of a personality because his charisma certainly shines through you....

I will pray for you and your family. It is so hard to lose a loved one, nevermind a parent. Just know that he is watching you and he will be there with you when you and DH begin your family.
