NWR: TOMS

I'm thinking about ordering my first pair of TOMS. Are comfortable? True to size? Are there TOMS alternatives I should consider?

TIA!

Re: NWR: TOMS

I really like them, but the flats are kind of flimsy. My first pair had a hole in the tip after only a month or two but I took a photo of it and emailed them about it and they sent me a brand new pair! The second pair held up much better. I also wore them almost everyday last summer though and they still are holding up.
I have a wedge pair from them too and they are great, they are much sturdier.

I was thinking of getting them for my bridesmaids...they are kinda pricey but I figure they are also giving shoes to people in need, so why not

They're very comfortable but there is absolutely no arch support.

I love them. My mom bought my sister and I navy with hearts for Valentine's day :) She's very picky about her shoes (comfort-wise) and even she has a pair!

I LOVE Toms! They are soooo comfy and I think they look so cute with skinny jeans! In my experience they fit true to size.

You're not the only one. I don't like them either.

I just bought my first pair! Definitely get a half size smaller. I heard that they stretch as you wear them. Also, use ebates.com! They have a $5 off coupon AND 10% back on your purchase.

I own Toms, and they're amazingly comfortable. Mine are a size larger than I usually wear. You can try them on at Urban Outfitters. Plus, depending on what material they are, they may be larger or smaller.

I'd love to have my bridesmaids wear them, and I'd even like to wear them myself, but I don't know if my mom will allow that!! LOL

I love Toms but none of my friends like them. Different styles run different sizes. I have Toms ranging from size 6.5-7.5. I just bought white crochet ones to wear at my reception when my feet start to hurt!

I was thinking silver crochet for my bridesmaids since they are wearing silver heels...do the crochet run big or small?

The crochet runs big. If you go on the toms website you can put your normal shoe size in and it will tell you the size of the crochet shoes you should order.
