they are made that way. i would get the higher ones though. also you order a size smaller and your supposed to wear them barefoot.

i was once a hater too - then tried on a pair last fall and thought they were the comfiest things going - truly feels like you're walking in your house slippers all day. i like wearing them w/o socks around the house (like slippers), and wear thin socks if i wear them out. between those and my full length north face coat, i am toasty warm on those super-frosty days. i have been scared to wear them in the rain but after reading this thread i will give it a dry, just want the tootsies to stay dry!!

There is a spray you can buy that weatherproofs your UGGS. I wish I had done it with my black ones they now look grey from all the salt&snow.. But definately do it they will last longer and look clean longer!

I got them last winter cause my feet are always cold and they're comfy and warm!
Oh i hear you're not supposed to get them wet but they have a spray cleaner for it and the lady at the UGG store said when you use the cleaner read the directions carefully cause you can ruin your UGGs if you dont. Go Fig

For another treat try the winter crocs. They have fleece material built in the shoe; It's like walking around in slippers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
