i'm so not convinced that UGGS don't make your feet smell. my best friend wears them all the time without socks and she says they don't smell. i personally don't really like UGGS. to trendy for me i think.

if i lose 10 lbs, maybe i'll splurge on fuggs....

i kind of feel the same - debated b/c i want really comfy warm boots but i refuse to give into the uggs craze.

i ordered a similar pair on zappos that i looooove. i thin the brand is soffi or softi or something - they are high brown suede and lined on the inside.

oooh, me no likey.

And I agree - how do girls wear those when its relatively warm out (which I REALLY dont get) and not have stinky feet?!

I think Uggs are great. They're warm and cozy with or without socks. If you order them, make sure you order the cleaner and the weatherproofing stuff too (You can get those off the Uggs website for I think $10 each.).

The website you're talking about it pretty good. I believe ShortyMcBride posted about that website on LIF. If you're going to order online, the sizes are pretty accurate. I'm a 7.5 and my Uggs are an 8 and they're perfect.

PS... Sometimes Marshalls carries Uggs too.

Re: NWR: Uggs

They are insanely warm and comfortable. I think they are a bit ridiculous with a miniskirt when it's warm out, but when it's absolutely freezing and you need to keep warm they are the best thing ever!

I always hated wearing other boots because I'd have to wear big socks which would always slide down and bunch at my heel and would be uncomfortable.

I don't think they are particularly stylish... they are like sweatpants! Warm and comfortable. If you want to look hot, get tall black leather boots. if you want to be warm and comfy, UGGs are the best.

As for knockoff Uggs, I don't think they are nearly as comfortable. I had a pair of off-brand boots back during the orig Ugg craze and before they had lots of colors (I wanted a pair that matched my light blue winter coat) and they didn't have the same cushy lining. chunks of fleece started to wear away after a few wearings, and they were much heavier in the sole.

I've seen Uggs in off-colors (yellow, baby blue, baby pink) at the Saks outlet for $50, and I recently bought a pair of wine/blue Uggs (my sorority colors) on ebay for $89, rather than the $150 or so that the talls usually cost. Zappos has a great selection -- that's where I got my chestnut ones. No tax and free shipping both ways.

Edit: I do think they make your feet smell. Not very strongly, but I'm not gonna lie, there's some smell there... the knockoff Uggs I had a few years ago were MUCH WORSE though! Just don't sit down on a plane and take your boots off..... otherwise you should be fine

Edit x2: I know someone above said they are true to size but I have not found that to be the case. I am a 7-7.5 and I wear a 6. They are supposed to be a little snug, and they loosen up a lot and mold to your feet. Websites usually say to order down 1 or 1.5 sizes for most styles, unless you plan to wear them with socks.

Zappos is generally $2-3 higher than retail but no tax or shipping. Here are the prices:
