NWR - VOTE tomorrow!

I am taking this opportunity to remind you to VOTE tomorrow. It was not that long ago that the only people who could vote in American were land owning, white males. Don't let people make decisions for you! It doesn't matter if you think your vote doesn't count, vote for those who were jailed or died to give you this right. Vote for those who are oppressed in other countries and don't have this right. Vote because it is the only voice you have. Vote because it matters. Vote because you CAN!!!!!

And vote in the morning to build momentum for your candidate. Get up early and just do it - this is the most critical election of our lifetime.

That may be the case, but since 99.9% of Americans woke up this morning knowing it is election day, it makes perfect sense.

It IS possible that 99.9% know it's Election Day. But I do know people that forgot. Also, Sorry but it IS a BIG deal. This is our future we're talking about. And for those who chose NOT to vote, for whatever their reason is...DON'T complain with the outcome. If I vote for Bush and Kerry wins, I can complain. If I don't vote and still complain, that's wrong. I think THIS is the biggest reason people are so strong in announcing the reminder to vote. Also, keep in mind that only 31% of 18-14 yr olds voted in the last election. I feel that's another reason it's being 'forced down our throats'.

Sorry, just needed to voice my opinion.

Voting is one of our rights, we all should take advantage of it.

People could make the same argument about a wedding - sick of hearing about it, we know what to do, etc. It's all relative. I respect your opinion but long after all of our own personal events pass, the results of what happen on Election Day will remain. I respect your right not to care as I hope you respect my right to voice my opinion that this is an important day, and I encourage you all to participate.

If you go to vote and you're told that you're not on the rolls, ask for a provisional ballot. It's the law!

I agree with you that everyone should vote and that it is very important. But I just think there is a point where you let whatever happens happens. That's all. I feel at if I am getting beaten over the head with it. Everyone here is talking about it. It's all over the emails I am getting. I made my voting choice, now leave me alone.

Ugh! I just need a drink. Does anyone have a martini or something?

Respectfully, I was surprised by the responses here. I think it is reasonable to complain that someone should not force their specific opinions on someone else. But, reminding us of all those who fight (including some of the FIs of girls on this board) and have died to keep us free is pretty innocuous and really should be respected rather than attacked.
