Totally go for it!! i think you are ready!!! you will be beautiful in those dresses and it will help you to get a feel for what you REALLY want in a dress.
mine has been ordered for a WHILE but since they capped my alterations at $175, even if i loose weight...it can be fixed!!

and hbradio and beth, don't feel bad about posting and not really being 'fat'!!! :
I forgot to mention that I AM FAT - very very overweight and gaining as we speak....I meant I didnt like to bother with conversations when people claim they are fat because they dont know what its like to be fat. But your pictures proved that you do, you DID and you should be VERY proud of yourself!

I am sorry if i in some way offended you by creating this post.
i just dont think that people nec. need to post only about being ovewrweight but sometimes wanting to lose a little bit of weight. This is the one time my life where i am going to get to be the center of attention and I want to look my best. I know what my best looks like, beacuse i was at it just a few years ago. I got lazy when i started working FT and now i want to get back to it. I dont think there is anything wrong about wanting to look your best and using your wedding as a motivator. JMO

i'm sorry i had to laugh at this one!! yes, i not only know what it's like to be fat, but i have lived it practically all my life! i'm just glad i proved myself as part of the club!!!
i know what you mean though hbradio. and that' part of the reason why i'm so scared to go dress shopping. seeing all those beautiful skinny girls around just will make me feel so unattractive.
i am proud of myself, but i still see myself as that person sometimes, but that's okay. i don't mind how much i weigh now, or how i look (i'm still 185 lbs!). i'll always have that 'i am fat' mentality, because i guess i'm just used to feeling that way. but i don't mind, i was never ashamed of being fat, and never thought i was ugly because i was extremely obese...i keep myself grounded by just looking at how i used to look. i used to cringe when i saw pictures like those but now i love them!!
i just want to look how i've always wanted to look, even if it's just that one day. i'll have the pictures to prove it, that yeah, i did look that beautiful. ya know?

i agree with you completely! but i don't think that's what she meant. whether it's 5 lbs, 50 whatever...like i said, everyone has something they would like to lose.

Thanks to all who said congrats to me, i appreciate it. Yes, the last 15 were the most difficult and its a struggle to keep it off..but i think everyone will agree that its a personal struggle and whether you have 10 or 100 to lose, it can be frustrating!! I don't think anyone is ever truly satisfied with how they look...there will always be something you feel you can improve, for me if its not one thing its the other!! :)
This is the most stressful time...planning a wedding, so weight loss isn't really the easiest to achieve. Is it bad that for breakfast i ate 6 oreos? haha...yup, that was my wake up healthy approach...
