NWR What Birth Control Do You Take

Currently I am taking Ortotrycyclin Lo. I have been doing further research and heard all these terrible things like weight gain/ I am not sure if I should stop taking it all together and continue alternative formd of BC. What kind do you take? Has anyone had a bad experience with Ortho tri lo?

Nope.. i'm on that now and have been on it for about 2+ years.
Years ago i was on... estrostep and that made me feel sick

I was on reg orthotri for awhile too and that had the same effect.
orthotri low is great

I used to be on Yasmin for 5 years, but I just switched to Femcon becuase I was getting breakthrough bleeding/headaches from taking the same one for so long. They are both great choices with few side effects.

I've been on Ortho Evra for 3 years now and I love it. No problems with weight gain or mood swings.

I to am taking Ortotrycyclin Lo and I have not experianced weight gain in fact I was able to lose 75 pounds in a year not b/c of the pill (I wish..lol) but the point I'm trying to make is that not everyone has the same side effects.

Before that I tried depo and let's just say it made me a nun....I had zero sex drive and almost non-existant eheeemms while I have heard some woman have no problem. I would say try it for a while and see how you feel first. HTH

Most of the research out and written about is pretty old, plus everyone's body chemistry is different so you really ave to try and see what works best for you. I use Trinessa. For me no weight gain or other side effects.

I have an IUD it is great no pills or hormones...I took bc pills for 12 years and had to stop due to severe migraines.

I was on tri-levelen for years - no problems. Then I switched to Seasonale and it is the most amazing BC in the world! I love it - I only get my . 4 times a year - it's amazing!!!!!

OMG ME TOO!!! I switched to Yaz and was crazy emotional lol FH still laughs about it till this day! hahaha

that sounds fantastic- but my only concern would be- how would you know if you were preggie???
cause you dont know if you're late on a monthly basis- just curious..... cause i so wanna try it

I've never even worried about it - I guess I just know I'm only supposed to get it every 3 months, so I don't worry about it at all. I know some people have breakthrough bleeding at first, but I didn't at all.

It really takes a lot of stress away - especially when I hear other brides talking about being afraid they're going to get it for their wedding or HM. I know I'm only getting it March, June, September and December of this year. I'm taking a 24 day HM and no worries at all. Don't have to worry about getting it on my HM and don't have to worry that I'll be the pms queen the week leading up to the wedding!
