NWR: What have you done for your FH?

With all the lovely ladies gushing about the sweet, caring, loving things their FH's have done for them and though I don't post it, he's done some things that make me cry and thank god I found him. I had to stop and think on my own when was the last time I did something 'just' for my FH?

So now I ask you ladies when/what was the last time you did something just for your FH?

Re: NWR: What have you done for your FH?

FH's 25th birthday just passed and I went all out to surprise him because he always does nice stuff for me.

I went out and bought him a really nice outfit to wear for Saturday - which I told him to keep open because I had something planned but I wouldn't tell him what it was.

So anyway to make a long story short before he went home friday night I gave him the box with the clothes in it all wrapped up with two cards and I told him to follow the instructions on the cards and I would see him the next day. The cards sent him on a scavenger hunt that ended with him meeting me at the trainstation by my house. We got on the train and I took him to see The Wedding Singer which was PHENOMENAL by the way.

On the way home after the play he made me promise that there weren't any more surprises cause he said I already did too much. So I promised him but I was lying because I had planned for a few close friends and his brothers to meet up for a surprise birthday dinner.

He was so shocked that I had gone to such lengths to celebrate his birthday and told me I spent too much but IMO it was totally worth it just to see the look on his face every time another surprise came his way.

When X-box 360 came out he didn't buy it for himself because he was saving to buy my engagement ring. He is very into Halo and whatever (i think its all stupid, but it makes him happy and as long as it doesn't become his life). Anyway since I knew he wanted it so bad, I bought it and a bunch of accessories for him and held it in my house for almost two months waiting for him to propose. I gave it to him the same night he proposed you should have seen his face!

I just booked a 4 day vacation to Niagara Falls. It's to celebrate our 6 month mark before we get married.

I rewrote his entire resume, complete with an awesome cover letter, and sent out 107 of them (every school district on LI and about 20-25 in Queens). I must've done about 20 online applications (and those things are loooong) too.

I had no time during the day to do this, between my summer class and work, so I stayed up every single night for about a week to get it all done.

Yesterday! He's leaving for Ecuador for 2 weeks today, so last night we went for a romantic dinner at Dylan Prime in NYC, and I had them write 'I'll miss you' in chocolate on our dessert plate! I also got him a brand new IPOD to take with him! He's the besttttttt and he deserves it!

Re: NWR: What have you done for your FH?

I am the 'hopeless' romantic type so let's see what I've done..

1.) gave him a place to live! He was living in Israel when 9-11 happened...and being an American in the Middle East wasn't such a great idea at the time...so I told him he could live at my house (before I even lived there!) I got a key made...and bought a silver key chain for it and engraved...'Because I love you...' on it. He still uses it

2.) For any card giving occassions i make the card & write a poem.
When he used to travel to Israel once a month for work I would make a card & slip it somewhere in his luggage. Then put a post-it in his book somewhere he'd find it on the flight. I would buy some roses for when he came home from the 2 week trips.

3.) I created & sell a book of my photography and dedicated it to him & wrote this whole mushy thing about if it wasn't for him I wouldn't even be doing photography

4.) I will wash & clean his car for him and do stuff like that

5.) I still leave him post-it notes around the house telling him I love him (we've been together 5 years)...or like today put one in his car wishing him luck on his job interview

I love doing stuff to show i care...yes I am a geek! haha

I sit a the firehouse while he's out on calls hour after hour on the weekend, travel from Northport to Long Beach just to see him while he's bouncing at 2 of the bars, and come out just about every night of the week after he gets home from work at 11pm just to see him for a bit.
I know it doesn't sound like much, but he says it means the world to him that I put up with his wacky schedule and not complain.

I actually just bought him a card... just because. LOL I saw it and made me think of him.

And I watch Ultimate Fighting and Boxing with him.

Allow him to be himself...I know it doesn't sound like much but I see so many women I know and even friends just completely strip their men of their man hood. They tell them how to act, how to dress, when they can see their friends.ect. They keep their man's balls in a jar.

I encourage FH to have 'a life' outside of our life together. He has said he knew I was 'the one' bc I never criticize him for being silly or really just being a guy. I let him be him, no strings attached.

Wow that sounds corny

I sent him one of those ediblearrangement baskets on our 1yr to wedding mark and I make sure he has a lunch to take to work everyday (he hates spending money)
