Tomorrow is my best friend's niece's Christening. I was just invited yesterday which is a long story but anyway, what is an appropriate amount to give? It's at Giorgio's by the way..so now I'm freaking out that I have to give more? TIA! Just wanted to get different opinions. ( I'm going alone FH is working)

I agree $100 seems like a lot!!! Unless you are very close with her... but it's your best friend's niece, not your best friend's daughter, so it just seems like $100 would be very generous but not necessary. I would give $50 probably.

You were just invited yesterday and it's the niece of your best friend, not a close relative of yours...I think $50 is more than enough. IDK the situation regarding why you were invited last minute but I would have said $75 with more of an advance notice. JMO

I would get a $50 bond which becomes $100 once it matures. I always give bonds for Christenings instead of cash.

I think $100 seems like a fair amount.
