NWR-What is the best cell phone provider on LI?

FH & I want to swtich to a family plan to save money, right now we both have nextel but its so much money? My job offers monthly discounts for verison,cingular & sprint... FH is a service man so he needs good reception all over the island mainly in Suffolk.

I have Cingular and im switching cause I hate it! The service isnt terrible, most of the phones are!
Verizon is the best for the island!

I switched from Cingular to Verizon recently and am very happy. I have a signal everywhere I go!

Verizon!

I've had them for over 6 years now. 1 yr as MCI, 1 w/ my phone and 4 w/ FH and my family plan. I used to drive 62 miles each way to work and never got a dropped call.

Everyone I know has Verizon and loves it. I have Sprint though, and I get reception in even woodsy areas on the North Shore. And me and FH are on a shared plan with a ton of minutes.
