FH & I want to swtich to a family plan to save money, right now we both have nextel but its so much money? My job offers monthly discounts for verison,cingular & sprint... FH is a service man so he needs good reception all over the island mainly in Suffolk.

Personally we have Verizon & don't have any problems. We have a 50. plan on my phone & then the 2nd phone is 9.99. Excellent service though, no problems.

I say Verizon. I had verizon for several years and I switched to NExtel because FH's company gives me the services and it $UCK$!!! I get dropped calls on a daily basis. And most times the two way says that FH is 'unavailable'.

we just switched from Sprint to Verizon about 6 months ago and we couldn't be happier. we used to drop calls everyday and now, hardly ever.

I say Verizon. DH and I have had Sprint and AT&T and they sucked!! I get signal just about everywhere. Of course not at my parents house which is so weird! I have never had a problem. And so many people have Verizon you can talk to another Verizon wireless customer and not use your minutes.

I love verizon, it is the only phone I have ever used but I see my friends always get dead spots and dropped calls and I don't have that problem.

I've had them all. For where I live (eastern LI on the north shore) Verizon is the best. FH has Cingular and I always have better service than him

in my experience both here on LI and in NC, cingular actually maintains a better reception in the long run so to speak...but service/price in general are about the same for verizon and cingular. i actually miss cingular b/c since FH added me to his verizon plan, i've lost more calls than ever.... this of course, is MY experience...others could have the exact opposite experience.

cingular girl here..I had verizon before and I have better reception. I had no coverage in my house with Verizon!

I just switch from Sprint to Cingular and havent had 1 problem and I get service EVERYWHERE I never used to get service

We have a great time with Verizon! When I moved here my boss recommended them. My DH finally switched from Nextel to Verizon. He had horrible service with them and we love Verizon!

I love Cingular. I actually have 4 phones on my plan and I pay slightly more than my sister who has another company (don't remember who) with 2.

I've had so many cell phone companies (Sprint, Nextel, T-Mobile) and by far Verizon is the best. HTH!

I would definitely say Verizon! We had Nextel for years - but switched last year because between the dropped calls and the customer service - we needed a better company.
