I'm curious. I just joined NYSC again yesterday :) I wanted to know what other girls are doing when they hit the gym. What have you seen teh most results with? I cant afford a personal trainer right now so I'll have to be crafty.

Re: NWR: What is your daily workout routine?
I do about 30-45 minutes of cardio 5 times a week...than crunches (5 times a week) and working with free weights (3-5 times a week) to tone my arms...HTH

Re: NWR: What is your daily workout routine?
I do a minimum of 1 hour of cardio 5 days a week. Usually, I do 2 hours. (I'm lucky to have a gym at work, so I can go before and after work without having to travel).
3 days a week, I do a half hour of strength training.
My cardio is split between running / walking / and cycling. Many people love the elliptical, too.
Start off slow - getting hurt is the easiest way to get off track. If you've not been actively recently, start by walking for 20 mins and build from there. Don't overdo it!
Also, remember exercise will build muscle - not necessarily bulky muscle - faster than you burn fat (though your fat-burning will catch up!) Don't be discouraged if the scale goes up or stays the same once you start a regular workout routine. The important thing is how you feel and look - both will improve.
At a bare minimum, we need 30 mins cardio 3 days a week. I think that's a realistic starting point for anyone looking to start getting into workout out. Build from there - never more than 10% in any give week - and never increased duration of the workout and intensity the same week.
Good luck! Remember -- do what you enjoy doing, not what others say they enjoy or works for them. Consistency is the most important thing, so do something you'll want to stick with. If you're consistent, you'll see results!
