i'm so sick of BC pills! I cant seem to find one that works right for me. I've been on: orthotricyclen; orthocyclen; lo-ovral and now recently Yaz. I'm going to my doctor tomorrow to get off Yaz bcuz although I did like the size B to a C effect it had on me, I can not deal with ALL THE MIGRAINES i've been getting. I know they affect everyone differently but wat B/C has worked for you?

I have an IUD. My DR. took me off of the pill b/c I get severe migraines and BC can increase the risk of stroke in women with migraines.

I get really bad migraines with Yaz too but it works the best for me in regards to everything else. I have been on so many and they all have made me feel so sick all the time. I stayed with Yaz cause my migraines have been few and far between lately.
Loestrin wasn't that bad!!
I tried Seasonique and called my doctor crying. I hated it!
I am no longer on it. Havent been now for about 4 years. I was on it for 10 years and had a lot of complications with every pill that I tried. Eventually my doctors instructed me to no longer take it as I am prone to blood clotting. That is a contraindication for BC. It stinks that I have to manage this but my body did not respond well to artifical hormone replacement.
I hope that you find something that works for you. The only thing I can tell you is that if all these pills make you feel horrible you will feel so much better after you stop taking them. I do however really hope you find one that works.
I am very sensitive even to my own hormones and durring ovulation I get really bad migranes as well. I feel your pain.

really? i had the worst experience with the depo shot and so did everyone else i know, but everything does effect everyone differently. Even after the 3 months, which is how long the 1 shot will last, i couldnt wait for it to be over but i had problems with my period after that and for MONTHS after that i had the most irregular period, getting it non-stop and other issues.
Not to mention that within a week of the depo shot, none of my clothes fit me. Which was strange since i was working out at the time and eating healthy and couldnt believe that in only a week i got like that. I continued to work out and eat healthy but the weight kept coming on. That is when i gained the most weight ever, and then after a while was i able to lose. Thats when i had to go on a strict exercise routine and diet and lost 35 pounds.
I was on it years ago and bc of my experience with it havent been on any bc since then

Re: NWR: What kind of B/C are you on?
i'm on yasmin and have been on it for over 2 1/2 years. i always only had very minor cramps but after i got on b/c, my cramps got worse. i also lost most of my sex drive and i sometimes get a lil nauseous at night. overall i can't complain but it's the only b/c i've ever been on so i wouldn't know the difference.

If the BC is giving you the Migraines then you are most likely having a problem with the estrogen.....I cannot take any BC pills with estrogen because my estrogen levels is what triggers my migraines. You can try a progestin only pill. I was on those for years and the only side effect I had was breakthrough bleeding.....went off any kind of BC just cause I felt like it was time to not take pills.
