NWR- what should I know about Disney?? 12 hour countdown!
Ok,, so FH and I leave for Disney Tuesday morning. I was there Once before for Half a day at Magic Kingdom and I was 8. So I know nothing!!!
Tell me what I need to know.. or where I should go.. what should I bring in the parks.. where should I eat.. which park is the best..???????
TELL ME IT ALL!! Pretty Please!!

OH wow, it is so much fun there! The one thing I would tell you is about the lines. I went in June and the lines for rides were out of control in disney. But you can buy one of those passes that let you not wait on the line. I don't know exactly how it works though. But I was ssoooo jelous of the people who had those because they just kept walking in front of us everywhere
But otherwise, it is such a fun place. Don't forget to go to islands of adventure by universal studios, that place was great and had really fun rides!

Get the park hopper pass. Go to the Sci-fi Cafe and the 50's Cafe in MGM Studios to eat. They are so much fun. I like to get to the parks when they open because it is not as crowded. It is a lot of walking around but so much fun. Def. get the fast pass. Drink lots of water because it is hot or buy one of the water spray fans they sell. FH and I got one when we went last summer and it really worked. Go to firework shows and the parades in Magic Kingdom. So much fun. If it isn't too late make a reservation at Coral Reef in Epcot. It is a very nice place for dinner if you want a nice evening. Can be expensive but we loved it. There is so much. i bought the Birnbaums tour guide book. That tells you a lot. You can get it at barnes and nobles or any book store. The Honey I Shrunk the Kids 3D in Epcot is a lot of fun. So is the ride I forget the name where you fly. Just saw a girl post it below me. It is called Soarin. It is in Epcot and it was awesome. I know there is a lot more but I can't think right now.
Magic Kingdom must sees: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (get fast pass for this first .. so that you don't have to wait online .. you basically insert your disney card into a machine and it tells u what time to come back for your ride *LOVE IT*) Stitch's Great Escape! Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Wishes™ Nighttime Spectacular (fireworks it's awesome)
if you like coasters: Space Mountain Splash Mountain
Animal Kingdon must sees: Finding Nemo - The Musical Expedition Everest (fast pass for this) Dinosaur It's Tough to be a Bug
Epcot must sees: Soarin' (fast pass for this) The Seas with Nemo & Friends Test Track

yeahhhh!!!!!!! i went 2 years ago in august and the lines werent bad at all! Fast pass is the best thing ever bc its free and u dont have to wait in line! Downtown disney- Pleasure island is sooooo much fun...tho my suggestion is stay away from the buckets (they sell these buckets of like a punch thing and i think it was free refills or something- noooot a good idea! lol)

So I should have said that we are going down for FSIL and F cousin IL Sweet Sixteen with 11 people total and we are wearing matching Jersey's as seen in the pic below of some of FH family, they all say '16' on the back,,,, My name of the front is 'Mrs. G to Be'

I haven't been to disneyworld since I was a kid. disneyland though I've been to more recently. aren't they the same though pretty much?
anyway you must, you really must check out the tower of terror!!! it was the best ride (if that's what one can call it) it's an elevator that takes you up, and drops you a few times it takes a nice picture too while your screaming your head off.

I love disneyworld. I am always trying to convince FH to go there on vacation. There is a site called d i s boards.com that I find helpful as far as where to eat and what rides to ride. Make sure you go to animal kingdom. The safari and expedition everest rides are the best!

WOW so much to tell Definatly see the night time shows like Spectro Magic (Magic Kingdom) and Fantasmic ( MGM ...not to be missed) Illuminations is ok (Epcot)
Favorite places to eat: BEACHES AND CREAM (Beach Club resort) Its a 50s soda shop kinda idea. Awesome hamburgers and Ice cream BOMA (Animal Kingdom Lodge) Buffet style Breakfast and Dinner, awesome food CINDERELLAS CASTLE (Magic Kingdom) Get reservations where and when you can see fireworks CAPE MAY BUFFET (Beach Club) Its a clambake need I say more???
Favorite resprts: BOARDWALK so fun there I would go and walk around. They also have some great restaurants there BEACH CLUB The pool had sand at the bottom of it but you may have to stay there to swim in it.... ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE You can get a room where your view is animals wandering around its so awesome
OK I have bored you enough. We have gone to Disney every year since I was 12, my family even owns Timeshare there and we have been known to be called the 'Disney Dorks' FM me if you have any questions at all and HAVE FUN!!!!!! Its the best place on earth

Make reservations ASAP! It's very busy this time of year because school is out and reservations fill up fast!
Def. go to the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary for a nice dinner with FH. It has amazing views of Magic Kingdom and if you can get reservations at the time of the fireworks it's the best view of the fireworks!!
Le Cellier (sp?), the steak house, in Canada in Epcot is great too. The breadsticks are to die for. And if you like Creme Brulee, GET IT!!! It's phenominal.
One of you should carry a backpack. I say one because when it gets too hot you can switch off. Bring a large ziplock bag to keep things in it that you don't want to get wet. Carry a bottle or 2 of water with you. You can refil it at a water fountain if you have to, but bottles of water are over $2 inside the parks.
FH and I love Disney. We were just there in February. We go every year and are itching to go back already!

Fast pass is free??? Wouldnt everyone use it then?
u can only use it at certain times.. but yes everyone does use it..
it's like this.. u stick u'r entrance ticket (dont lose that) in a machine and gives u a fast pass that puts u on a separate short line.. but it also has a time on it that u come back for that short line.. and a time on it that u can get u'r next fast pass.. so u wait on reg line for one ride then u fast pass the next.. u go reg line.. fast pass line..
they work great but it takes some strategic planning
if u go to epcot go to the honey i shrunk the kids ride and eat in the morrocan restaurant (i'm still craving morrocan food)
go to animal kingdom lodge (hotel not the park) and see the savannah in the back also the restaurant at the animal kingdom lodge is to die for Boma it's called
don't forget to get a turkey leg. yeah it sounds ridiculous but they are delicious!!
eat at the crystal palace if u go to magic kingdom, u get prime time with some characters without waiting in a line in teh sun. and the food is amazing.. that salmon is soo good
also if u can, get tickets to the hoop de doo revue.. it sounds corny but you WILL have a good time.. i took m brother and his girlfriend and they are 18 and 17.. and they laughed.. and u know teenagers dont find nothing that adults do even remotely funny.. they cracked p the whole time. and the food there is amazin also!!

i hae a timeshare, also.. just brought it after i went lst year and fell in love with disney.. and yes i am also a disney dork.. my girlfriend told me she wnats me to go somewhere other than orlando for once..

you should book all your restaurants you want to eat in, way way ahead of time
things get booked up very very fast, and all the really nice expensive restaurants get sold out FAST
