NWR- what should I know about Disney?? 12 hour countdown!

Ok,, so FH and I leave for Disney Tuesday morning. I was there Once before for Half a day at Magic Kingdom and I was 8. So I know nothing!!!
Tell me what I need to know.. or where I should go.. what should I bring in the parks.. where should I eat.. which park is the best..???????

Downtown Disney has a Wulfgang Puck resturant--it was fantastic!

Oh, and if you like German food, eat at the Biergarten in Epcot!! It’s a buffet and it’s got a really cute show and the beer is delicious…visit a lot of the different hotels, be sure to rid the monorail into Disney through the Polynesian or take the boat into Downtown Disney or Epcot—its nicer than going by car.

Hey Kim! I'm jealous of you! I too am a disney dork. Ive gone a billion times since I was a kid, and now that my parents have retired an hour north of Orlando, I'm there a few times a year!!!
But anyway, I saw someone said that Illuminations at Epcot was 'eh.'
Honestly, this is my FAVORITE thing. Illuminations made me cry - yes, I am a massive wuss. But it's Epcot's fireworks display (the eqivalent of the Magic Kingdom's Spectromagic - which is also awesome!). But I think because of all of the cultures and visuals it encompasses, I'm a huge dork and get teary eyed!
My suggestion is to go about 45 minutes beforehand to Mexico (in Epcot) and order a crapload of food and grab a table by the water. Camp out there (eat slowly!) and this way you have a front row seat to Illuminations.
I LOVED it and think its a 'do not miss' thing! I liked it better than the other parks' end-of-the-night shows.
also, Pleasure Island is a BUNCH of fun if you and FH can get a night to yourselves. I love the 70's/80's club (8 traxx). Sometimes they hire professional dancers to come in and do ridiculous brakedancing/amazing disco moves. Totally gets the crowd going. The Irish bar on pleasure island (I cant remember the name ) is also fun. They have irish step dancers that come out and rock out!
Have FUN! Enjoy it. It's exhausting. So make sure you're hydrated and have comfy shoes!!! I did flip flops and was fine. But some of my friends said that they needed more support (needed sneakers).
I was at the Irish resturant/pub like amonth ago...think it was called Raglan Road? Very nice place!
Oh, and Illuminations makes me cry too

Since you are staying at a Disney Hotel, you cant get in early or stay late at certain parks on certain days. Make sure you check out the Disney website and find out which parks open early and which are open later. It's only an extra hour, but it changes everyday! This just gets you in before the crowds and gives you more time!
