Make sure you stop by the Boardwalk. They have a dueling piano bar called Jelly Rolls......sooo fun! They also have a dance hall and they tend to do swing nights if you're into that.

Also make a stop by Downtown Disney (the marketplace and pleasure island)

I loooooooooooove Disney!

Make reservations ASAP! It's very busy this time of year because school is out and reservations fill up fast!

Def. go to the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary for a nice dinner with FH. It has amazing views of Magic Kingdom and if you can get reservations at the time of the fireworks it's the best view of the fireworks!!

Le Cellier (sp?), the steak house, in Canada in Epcot is great too. The breadsticks are to die for. And if you like Creme Brulee, GET IT!!! It's phenominal.

One of you should carry a backpack. I say one because when it gets too hot you can switch off. Bring a large ziplock bag to keep things in it that you don't want to get wet. Carry a bottle or 2 of water with you. You can refil it at a water fountain if you have to, but bottles of water are over $2 inside the parks.

FH and I love Disney. We were just there in February. We go every year and are itching to go back already!

Try this website. Dis Boards I was addicted to it before I became engaged and found this site!!

Wow... that is good on the zip lock bags. I thought maybe I would do that for my camera and cell phone. FH said that my camera will be out the whole time!!! LOL
I know that FH will be carrying a back pack so wahooo for my free shoulders and hands!

Thank you for your information!! Ohhh and my tummy says thanks for the Bread sticks tip!!

Oh you HAVE to go. They have fish bowls on top of the pianos and you can drop in a piece of paper with any song you wanna hear and they play it....well if they pick your paper.

Gotta love sing a longs with a bunch of drunks! And it's only $10 each to get in....but stay away from the popcorn!

Hey Kim, you're going to love the AK lodge! So amazing. I worked for Disney for a while in MGM, Animal Kingdom and the Yacht and Beach club resorts. If you have any questions I can help. You MUST see Fantasmic. They will probably have only one or two shows a night, but it is so worth it. BTW probably one of the best buffets on property is in the AK Lodge. The two upstairs restaurants in the Polynesian are my favorite. I can give you so much info, but let me know what you're looking for. You're going to have so much fun, so much has changed since way back when!

Hey Kim! I'm jealous of you! I too am a disney dork. Ive gone a billion times since I was a kid, and now that my parents have retired an hour north of Orlando, I'm there a few times a year!!!

But anyway, I saw someone said that Illuminations at Epcot was 'eh.'

Honestly, this is my FAVORITE thing. Illuminations made me cry - yes, I am a massive wuss. But it's Epcot's fireworks display (the eqivalent of the Magic Kingdom's Spectromagic - which is also awesome!). But I think because of all of the cultures and visuals it encompasses, I'm a huge dork and get teary eyed!

My suggestion is to go about 45 minutes beforehand to Mexico (in Epcot) and order a crapload of food and grab a table by the water. Camp out there (eat slowly!) and this way you have a front row seat to Illuminations.

I LOVED it and think its a 'do not miss' thing! I liked it better than the other parks' end-of-the-night shows.

also, Pleasure Island is a BUNCH of fun if you and FH can get a night to yourselves. I love the 70's/80's club (8 traxx). Sometimes they hire professional dancers to come in and do ridiculous brakedancing/amazing disco moves. Totally gets the crowd going. The Irish bar on pleasure island (I cant remember the name ) is also fun. They have irish step dancers that come out and rock out!

Have FUN! Enjoy it. It's exhausting. So make sure you're hydrated and have comfy shoes!!! I did flip flops and was fine. But some of my friends said that they needed more support (needed sneakers).

Oooh - also, if you get a chance, have dinner at Mexico, Italy or France (in Epcot). The food is fantastic.

I LOVE the ambiance in Mexico though. It's romantic and it feels like you're in Mexico, late at night (its dark in there, and you'd think it was 10 pm, even when its 2 pm outside).

Make sure you go on the Safari at the Animal Kingdom! It was one of my favorite things there. The animals are amazing, and soooo close to your vehicle, yet you feel safe. Also, try a giant turkey leg one day -- they sell them at kiosks all over the park. Make for funny pictures too. I'm not sure if anyone already mentioned it, but make sure you get a 'park hopper' ticket so you can go to more than one park in a day. Definitely wear sneakers or comfortable shoes -- you will be doing a lot of walking! Have fun! We just went last week, for the first time in my life, and it was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to go back! Stay late -- there are no lines for rides and there are parades and fireworks shows late. We stayed at the Magic Kingdom until 1AM -- it offically closes at midnight, but things really stay open.

WOW- I cant believe how many things are peoples 'favorite' and they are ALL diffrent! I love all this information! I know we are going to Illuminations,, my FH said we are eating in a resturant that gives you perfered seating for Illuminations, I am not sure if it is the Mexican resturant.

Thank you for info on the Polesysian also. I think they were not planning on visting other Hotels to eat, but FH plan on going off on our own. So we might be able to check that out.

Once again ladies for all the information!!
