If I'm home during the day, I'll keep it around 70.
When I leave for work in the morning, I lower it to 60. At night I keep it around 66.

Yeah FH is MUCH warmer than me! I just hate getting home from work and entering a cold house! I might have to adjust this!

to be environmentally friendly it's suggested you warm your house to 68* during the day and 55* at night!! i know crazy. i would do 62* at night, a little more reasonable.

also, putting on an extra sweater when you get home raises your temperature by 2*, making 68* pretty comfortable!

FH and I argue about this all the time. Usually about 72, and I freeze. If I had my way, I'd keep it at 80!

Right? I thought 68 was normal. I am cheap so I guess that is why my house temp is much lower than others.

We usually set the heat at 66-68 during the day and 72 when we are home. We have wood floors as well and it seems too cold if we keep it programmed below 66 while we are gone.

I don't know how true it is, but my Dad always told me to not let it get too cold in the house during winter, because then your system has to work really hard to bring the temp up, and that is not going to be efficient either.

We have it at 62 in the day and 72 at night. Its still cold but last month we had a $450 heat bill so we're taking it easy this month lol FH even bought me thermals!!! What a wise guy!
