I will try to keep it short. FH & I had to go to his nieces high school graduation party in Huntington and then to a BBQ at my cousin's house in New Jersey. So we decide to go to both (against my better judgement). My sister picked us up at my FSIL's house and then we started to make our way to New Jersey. Fast forward to us sitting in major traffic by the GW and we get a call from my cousin saying that his wife changed her mind and doesn't want us to come over anymore due to an argument my sister had with her 2 years ago and to top it off she doesn't want his sister to come over either because she feels she was ignored at a communion last year because my cousin was putting food out instead to catering to her every need. Here is what I need your help with after this episode I told my sister that I no longer wanted to invite them to my wedding. I said if I am not welcome in their home why would I want them at my wedding. My sister says that I can't do that to my cousin. So I said fine he can come but she can stay home. Now I can't into a huge fight with my sister about this because she is trying to force me into inviting them. Thank you for listening to me ramble on and I apologize for this being so long.

Re: NWR- What would you do???
You were halfway to NJ, your cousin called and took back the invitation, and your sister thinks you should still invite him to your wedding? Nuh-uh. If your cousin had any balls, he would have told his wife too bad, my cousin is coming over. You were halfway there! Isn't it his house too? Does she get to make all the decisions, and then he gets to deliver the news? Do NOT invite such incredibly rude people to your wedding. And I would never speak to them again unless they apologized profusely. You want to enjoy your wedding, you don't want to see someone who makes you really angry eating the food you paid for. And I'm sure if he came he'd give a really cheap gift, too, if he gave anything at all. Considering that the wife is usually the one who shops for presents.

I agree - she was incredibly rude to rescind your invitation as you guys were on your way. Seriously, why do we always have to do 'the right thing' even when people have been incredibly rude to us!!! I say if you do not want to invite her then don't even tell your sister about it, it's really not her business etc., just don't invite her.

Wow what kind of awful person calls you when you're halfway there to tell you you're no longer invited?!?! That's just bizarre. Anyway you don't have to explain yourself to anybody... it's your wedding and your business... just don't invite the cousin!!!!!

Re: NWR- What would you do???
That was completely obnoxious of your cousin's wife to do in the first place.. whatever issues she may have with your sister is between them and if you are uncomfortable with having this woman at your wedding, then don't invite them.. bc if you invite just your cousin and have just his name on the invitation, she may just be a beotch and show up anyway.. OR cause an even bigger rift between everyone.. I would just play it safe and not invite them..
