Simply no bread, pasta, fries, sweets etc etc.
Cut down on salt and sugar.
Stick with brown such as whole wheat bread, if you need a fix. I honestly, love love bread and personally cannot live w/o. So, I stick to whole wheat, one slice instead of two, etc cut on salty foods, and just minimize through the week. You know, your weaknesses, work around them, slowly. Good Luck!

I'm on a no/low carb diet..here is my typical menu

Breakfast: egg white & spinach omelet

Lunch: Chicken ceasar salad (no croutons)

Dinner: steamed or broiled meat/chicken or fish and a side of steamed veggies

Snack: if I need a sweet fix I have sugar-free jello with 2tbs of cool whip..

I have lost 18lbs so far.

I also take a multivitamin daily. HTH

I have cut out all breads, pasta's, rice and sugar..

well, a NO CARB diet is rather severe...
besides flour, potatoes, rice, grains, and sugars, you have to avoid most sweet fruits, bananas, onions, all dairy products, carrots, beets, fruit juice.... Oh, and low carb does not permit high fat, of course. Bacon and butter are always no no's.

I really don't recommend no carb. I've lost at least 30 lbs recently, and did it by merely limiting the carbs and being healthy.

No prepackaged food, limit eating out, no artificial sweeteners, and less carbs. No pasta or white flour stuff... Other than that, carbs at one meal a day (like a baked potato or whole wheat bread), and no carbs the other meal (salad with chicken and low fat dressing). Eggs are your friend, if you don't have high cholesterol. Then add exercise, and voila!

hope this helps...
