It's not the same for people living outside NY. I don't know how this is possible. I just can't imagine it is still something so real for me. I don't even like working on that day, I just want to be with the people I love. 2001 people!!

OMG, I am seriously disgusted by that...No wonder every other country thinks Americans are stupid, we are! We don't even know the 'history' of our own country and it's not like this happened 50 or 100 years ago! Not even ten years ago for that matter!

They are not from N.Y.. that's why most of them didn't know... We remember every momoent from that day b/c it hit us closes to home (meaning our hearts)....
Sadly this is very true. I was away on training on 9/11, and even that day they continued classes and people went out drinking that night! I was not only with people from all over the US, but all over the world (it was global training). I was devastated, couldn't function, and couldn't even get home to see my family. Meanwhile I have people telling me 'well, if US policy was different ...' REGARDLESS - those are my friends and family trapped in NYC. I wasn't thinking policy!
Sorry, obviously it still upsets me! My point is, it will affect us more. Think of all the tragedies across the world that many people here don't get affected by. Even the tsunami - I don't know many people that were upset more than a few days (if even that) because it was so far away. I'm not saying that's right, but sadly that's how a majority of people are.

It doesn't matter that they were not asking people from NY, it was an attack on AMERICA!! Yes i remember every detail of that day, but i am from NY, I expect other americans to at least know what year it happened in. I mean they are in college, they can at least say it happened in the 9th grade and then figure the year from there!!

wow thats so sad...ignorant people out there...i will never forget that..and its really horrible that people choose not to remember and the fact that some of them laughed..how horrible is that? thousands of innocent people died.have some respect!
