either sold Avon? Or bought Avon products? I'm looking to do something part-time and a friend of mine said he cousin sells it and loves it. Part of me is thinking it's a great idea b/c I can do it whenever I want, but the other part of me is thinking 'is this a major waste of time and energy?' I mean, does anyone really buy that stuff? I know I've bought a couple of Avon products in the past and I have to say they were pretty nice, but I'm not sure if anyone is going to want to buy it from me, you know? SO, has anyone on here ever sold, or know anyone who's sold Avon? OR has anyone on here bought their products faithfully?
I'm trying to see if it's worth me trying...

I sold Avon for about 2 years. Avon sells its self. At my old job I had alot of customers. You get a commission on the amout you sell. The products are great and if I remember there is only a $20 start up fee. The reason why I stopped is that I was having trouble with deliveries. It was supposed to come on saturdays and they werent delivered till Mondays. Some of the region offices offer deliveries to the store and you cna pick them up there but mine didnt. So when the deliveries came on Monday they would just leave them on my front stoop and things were missing. It was too much of a hassel so I stopped. But I would definately look into it and see if the deliveries can be sent to either the store or if you can have someone at you house to accept the packages, I would say defiantely do it!!!

my mother in law sells it and I think she's doing pretty good with it. She's not working right now though, so she has a lot of time to devote to it. She takes walks in different neighborhoods and puts her catalogs in mailboxes along the way, and has actually gotten customers that way. She also leaves catalogs in restaurants and waiting rooms. I think she said that for the first month she got 50%commission, so she made a lot the first month. She doesn't have to worry too much about getting and making deliveries because avon usually offers free shipping deals if customers choose to have their orders shipped directly to them from the website. Whenever I order from her, I do it that way, so my order comes directly to me, and she never even has to see it, all she does is process the order through her website. For the customers that don't want to order through the website and have to pay her directly and have the products shipped to her, she actually creates accounts for them through the website with her own credit card and billing address, but with the customer's shipping address, so the product still gets shipped to the customer instead of to her. I dont know about Avon but my cousins and sisters friend sell Mary Kay and you keep 50% of what you sell.

I wish I knew someone who sold it. They have so many great products. Anyone here that sells it if you don't mind FMing me I will buy And Nitania if you decide to do it let me know lol.
