I'm looking for a new pair of sneakers for walking, elliptical, and exercise classes. I had Nike Shoxs, I beat into the ground and I had Sketcher shape ups that are ok but hard to really do classes in or intense treadmill, elliptical workout. I am looking for something light weight and comfortable. My goal is to making to the gym at least every other day for now until I do and I need the right sneakers.

Re: NWR: Workout sneakers
I have Reebok RunTones and I think they are absolutely great! Great for walking, running, working out at the gym - anything really. They are like Reebok's version of Shapeups just not as ugly LOL

Asics are the best!
I was wearing reeboks for a bit, but they weren't as supportive as I would have liked.
My friend is a gym rat and takes working out very seriously and told me you can use anything for weight training, but for cardio, Asics are the best.
I also think New Balance are great.
I bought these a few months back and I love them!

not heavy at all. Light as a feather, they have a mesh top to them so you're feet are better able to 'breathe' and I feel they are very supportive. Go to the store and try them on a see how you feel. They also have EasyTones but I honestly don't know the difference. I think EasyTones are more for walking and the RunTones are better for running. But I went with the RunTones since if they are good for running, they are good enough for walking too. I will also say that I have hardly worked out the past few months I've been wearing them (just really walking in them all day long) and my legs are definitely more toned.

Re: NWR: Workout sneakers
i find asics to be the best and most supportive. after many years of searching and trying every brand on the market, i now only buy asics.
i run and prefer Asics Gel-2150. i've probably bought 6 pairs in the last 3 years (i replace them every 6 months or so depending on my mileage)
