AGHHHHH every day people mispronounce my name...and its not even like its a hard name! w t fffff. My name is Kristen...everyone always thinks I say Christian/Krista/Christine/Kristy. I keep thinking maybe its me saying it mumbled or too fast...i cant figure it out! makes me so mad

Hahaha I'm a Christi and I get Chrissy ALL THE TIME I guy I have been working with for 10 years still calls me it...I just let it go at this point. Also Christen like you...when I say 'no, it's Christi' people are like 'but isn't it short for Christen or Christina?'

I'm paula and i constantly get Pam or Pamela. Mostly pamela in person or on the phone but constantly Pam on emails. My work email signature says 'PAULA'...when you hit reply what prompts you to write 'Thanks Pam'!??!?!?

No one screws up Ashley but everyone screwed up my maiden name!!! It's St. Clair - I always got Ms. Clair or Ms. Sticlair andddd I hate when people add an e at the end! It drove me crazy!!! Lol

I've always had a problem! I get Jeanie alot or Jennifer. My name is Jennie. Spelling is even worse! In my highschool year book they had my name five different ways throughout the book!

Well not quite as bad as you have it (being called by a different name!), but I'm Andrea and there are about 15 different ways to pronounce it. Its one thing if we're just meeting for the first time, but its another if I've known you for many years.
I pronounce it 'Anne-dree-uh' not Anne-dray-uh or Ahn-dray-uh or Ahn-dree-uh (90210 style lol) and it drives me CRAZY when people I've known forever pronounce it any other way! Usually I don't say anything though. I think this is why as a teacher I always make sure I ask a student on the first few days if I'm pronouncing their name correctly and what they prefer to be called (Jessy instead of Jessica, for example).

All the time - My name is Carolyn and people ALWAYS call me Caroline. I'll meet someone new and say 'hi, I'm Carolyn' and they immediately say back, 'Hi Caroline' Hello . . . did you hear what I just said????
