Okay so I was away for the weekend and after my friends sent me the pictures that they took I really came to the conclusion (and this may sound wierd) but I hate my teeth. I have a little gap inbetween my 2 front teeth and I just hate it and want to get rid of it. My dentist said he can bond it (whatever that means) but I would have to go back for I guess touchups or something. Anyone have any idea what I can do or reccomend a good dentist (if thats who would help me)?
I refuse to smile anymore

Re: NWR.....Anyone know.......
please do not not bond...... its not worth it really especially for the front teeth. i have all 4 of my front teeth have veeners. i was born with a big space and then sports and grinding caused alot of breaking. had them bonded and for years rebonded bc of breaking. (made it worse and discolored)
so i got veeners on the fron two teeth that were okay but colors mismatched...and always felt self conscious and the two teeth next to them were small.
bc of another liw bride i was recommened to a dentist that is freaking awesome. i got all 4 veeneers done and they look awesome. its alot of money i wont kid you....but it really is worth it.
if you want any info or his name just fm me.

Teeth!!!!!!!! I know, I know! I just had eight of my upper teeth bonded by Dr. Golub-Evans in NYC at the Dental Duplex on 71st or 72nd Street. I had been born missing some of my upper teeth and the teeth I had were on the small side. Result - huge gaps and a smile that looked like a little kids smile. They are now fabulous and were worth every freaking penny! My brother calls them 'anchor man teeth' and that is fine with me! My regular dentist was floored and actually called in other dentists to see his work. I was like a lab specimen but I loved it. It took three hours - no pain whatsoever. Bonding is similar in concept to an acrylic nail. The dentist just builds up your old teeth with a glue like material. Its some type of resin. He can shap them, make them larger, close gaps, etc. MIne are a year old now and I have had no problems whatsoever. They are also really- really white!!!! You would not need to get them bleached either (as some brides like to do before their big day) because the dentist can go a shade lighter than your lower teeth and noone can really tell.
Again, worth every penny. I used to hate smiling now I cant stop this stupid toothy grin. FM me if you want details on the cost or info on Dr. Golub. I cannot say enough about him.

This is his website. My testimonial is the first one up there!!! By the way, I had no idea he actually put it up on his site. I was checking his website just now to give to you and found it. I stand by it to this day.

By the way, bonding is about half the price of veneers. Maybe even cheaper than that. Dr. Golub guarentees them for one full year, against any type of accident. After that, he can repair them individually if they chip. He stated that bonding lasts about 10 years if youre good to youre teeth. You do have to be somewhat careful about biting into some things - like corn on the cob, ribs. etc. But, like I said, no problems so far!

Re: NWR.....Anyone know.......
I am not 100% sure what that is, but you I did a search for you and this is what I found out
Teeth Bonding Bonding, known as teeth bonding, dental bonding and tooth bonding, can be used to treat a variety of dental problems. People with teeth that are chipped, crooked, cracked, stained and gapped can all benefit from bonding. Dental bonding is sometimes even used to repair teeth that have been damaged due to decay.
The objective of dental bonding is to create the look and feel of natural teeth, so the bonded teeth sculpted and buffed to look and feel great, and the resin material used for bonding is also selected to match a person's natural tooth color.
The composite bonding material that is used, can also be used to fill in gaps between teeth, protect the root of a tooth, or serve as an alternative to metal fillings. Dental bonding is a simple procedure, and is usually performed by a cosmetic dentist in a single visit.
The bonding procedure involves an etching solution that is applied to the teeth to create slight grooves so that the resin layers subsequent resin layers will adhere to the tooth. Composite resin is applied in coats which hardens immediately when a high-intensity light is used. Layers of resin are added until a desired thickness is reached and then the teeth are sculpted and polished
There are two basic bonding techniques, composite bonding and veneer bonding:
Composite bonding uses a composite material that is adhered to the tooth and shaped Veneer bonding uses smooth porcelain or composite veneers that are adhered to the front of the tooth using dental cement. Porcelain veneers offer a better color match to your surrounding teeth and typically lasts for five to ten years, although they are more expensive than composite veneers, or composite bonds.
Smaller, less severe problems may only require one trip to the dentist but larger problems may involve two or more appointments. Generally the initial appointment for extensive bonding involves having a mold made of your teeth. This mold then is sent to a dental laboratory so that a customized filling can be fabricated. The following appointment typically involves having the customized filling bonded to your teeth and sculpted down until it looks natural.
If you have spent years wishing you had a better smile, it might be time that you look into tooth bonding. Once you research this treatment you may see that it's an incredibly quick, painless and affordable way to repair your teeth and get the smile you've always wanted.
