NY State Law Enforcement Fee INCREASE!!! Please READ!

Girls, listen up. I just called Geico today to pay my car insurance. So they tell me its $12 more than my bill says. It turns out that last month Gov. Pataki raised the $1 NY Law Enforcement Fee for each vehicle to $5!! So we have 3 cars! I mean I can see it maybe going up to $2 but $5. Am I wrong here? I am furious. It just seems that when you think things can't possibly get any more worse in NY......

Anyway I just sent Gov. Pataki an email. Here is the link to write to him. Please email him and tell him this is just not right, we have had ENOUGH!!

Thanks,
Denise

Yes, look on your insurance bill. It has always been $1 per car.

It's just not fair. The middle class picks up the bill for everything. Pretty soon we are going to BE the Poor!

before you go and blame pataki for this, try to get all the facts. states are in a bind right now b/c of the bush tax cuts and are having to increase state and local taxes to make up for the federal money they will no longer get. if your email gives you any answers, please share them here. thanks!
