Are your companies currently putting together contingency planes in case of the transit strike on 12/15?
Just curious as to what your means would be.

Re: NYC Ladies - Transit Strike
Yeah, JPMorgan is offering vans/buses that will pick up employees from various points throughout the city.
There's a pick-up near my house too...however, some of us in the department have the option to work from closer locations (ie: Brooklyn residents at Metrotech)

They have not said a lot but my guess would be they are doing the same with shuttle buses-nothing says good times like taking 5 hours to get back and forth.

We're tiny so there's no plan. My graphic designer will have to bike it from Brooklyn and I have NO idea what I'll do.

Re: NYC Ladies - Transit Strike
They always threaten to go on strike (shocker) and fortunately come to the table with negotiations...however, it's just important to have a back-up plan just in case.

no, I don't think so/ Does this strike include all the MTA, or only subways/buses?

Re: NYC Ladies - Transit Strike
I think most people in my office are set up for remote access.
I would probably come in (by walking -- it would suck I know) once and get any files I needed and work from home for a while.

Speak to your HR department or manager.
NYC is also not allowing anyone to come into the city unless they are carpooling (3+ per car) that will be strictly enforced.
However, let's all keep our fingers crossed that this is not even an option!
