NYC makeup HELP!

Hi,

I have hair and m/u for my wedding already but I'm looking for someone to do makeup for my epics. I live in the city and will be taking my pics here, so I need somoene in NYC. Can anyone recommend places? It can be a private person or at a salon. Hopefully not too expensive! TIA!

What about a MAC counter? Or Maureen Pedella? She is in Manhattan.

I went to the MAC counter in bloomingdales and didn't have to buy a thing. I used a girl by the name of Star. I just had to tip her...she did a wonderful job...excatly what I asked for.

You can try the salon right next to St. Mark's Place Pizzeria, it's called Hair something. The last time I checked their prices, it looked pretty decent for a NYC salon. $50 for make-up appliance, $70 for hair-do. If that doesn't work out for you, you can't go wrong with the make-up counters at Macy's on Herald Sq. Browse through the different cosmetics brand and see if you find a fav. Ask for a free make-over (some counters charge $30 fee) and if you love it, see if the make-up artist can do it for your wedding. It's much cheaper than going to a salon to do a pkg.

Try any of the aveda stores-- you can get your makeup done with a $35 purchase. Their makeup is great-- really natural and light. If you don't want to do it in the store, I think for $25 you can go to the Aveda salon institute in NYC and get it done there.

I also go to this salon, Gloria Cabrera, its nothing super fancy but they have a really great staff and I think for about $135 you can choose to get three services done-- so you could get your hair blown out, mani/pedi and makeup. 212-750-0808 or 212-750-9326. I was thinking of doing this for my e-pics!
