21 Club is good around the xmas holidays because the salvation army comes in and sings carols, but in my opinion there are sooo many other restaurants in Manhattan that are better - Nobu, Bond Street, Del Frisco's, Thalia, Pearl Oyster Bar, One if by Land Two if By Sea, Gramercy Tavern, Blue Water Grill, too many to name...Union Square Cafe is probably the best in my opinion

If you like Carmine's you'll like Tony Dinapoli, the food is sooooo good and the prices are good too

All the suggestions are great.....My favorites are One if by Land, Two if by Sea (very romantic and pricey). Union Square is Great food and Service. River Cafe in Brooklyn is very fancy and have awesome views of the NY skyline (also pricey, they have valet parking too). Tavern is good (the have a pre-theatre menu). There is always Peter's Lugers in Williamsburg for steak or Joseph's, Sparks, Angelo and Maxie's too!!!

I would highly recommend Candela located at 116 E16 th street. VERY romantic. they have candelabras all over the restuarant. They have happy hour drinks at the bar til 7pm. To top it off...they have a great 3 course pre fixe menu for only $19.99 from 5:30-6:30pm. The food is delicious and filling. Well worth the value!!!!! Make sure to make a reservation. you girls are great! So many restuarants to choose from. I think i will be taste testing for the next couple of months with a list like this
