NYIT de Seversky
Hello! This week my fiance and visited The Sands Point Preserve, which I loved, however it was SO expensive. They charge a $12,500 site fee for a Saturday wedding and then $250 per plate. Add in another $20-30 for rentals per person, then lighting, then this and that. We were looking at 70K min. So that was out (boo).
Then we went to the de Seversky Mansion and totally fell in love with it, and it was within our budget. The grounds were beautiful and the inside is stunning. Has anyone been married here before? The problem was we had a high guest list and de Seversky can only accommodate 150 for a traditional style wedding (more for a European style).
Aside from scaling back our guest list, has anyone had the max capacity there or had the European style? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Lauren

Hi Lauren, would you mind sharing what they quoted you? I'm also looking to have a mansion style wedding in 2018 and was shopping around for a venue. Hoping to tour this place as well. Congrats!

Re: NYIT de Seversky
Hi Cyndy,I tried replying directly to you but not sure if it went through. de Seversky has 3 styles to choose from:
Traditional Wedding
European
Gatsby Style
There is a 4000 site fee plus 1000 for ceremony on site. It's 185 per person for traditional and 195 pp for European. Not sure about Gatsby pricing.
You have the bridal suite 3 hours prior at no charge but if you want extra time its 100 per hour. The bridal suite was amazing.
Hope this helps.

We toured Coindre Hall yesterday and loved it for a mansion style wedding. It's not our personal style, but we could see how anyone would book it in a second and have heard wonderful things from friends and family who have attended weddings there. They have no sight fee, a $500 ceremony fee, and were $130++ pp for Saturdays and $120++ pp for Fridays. They were offering a deal to get the Friday price for Saturdays in 2017. I'm not sure if the same deal would apply to 2018, but it's definitely worth checking out.Welcome New Vendors
