Has anyone contacted the NYPD Emerald Society to play at church for their wedding? I was wondering what their donation/prices are. I was also wondering pricing for regular bagpipers are as well.

I havent contacted Emerald Society, or bagpipers, but if you find anything out--or if anyone else knows any details or info please FM me....I want to surprise my FH with a bagpiper at the end of our ceremony.

I havent contacted them yet.
it is still an idea being thrown around... maybe once i get all of the church settled.. ill tackle that.

Emeral Society = AMAZING!!! My neighbor's dad is a member and she got married about a month after 9/11 at CLM. At one point in the reception, a drummer from the ES came into the room, walked the perimeter of the dance floor to clear it and then a bunch of members marched in and played. AMAZING! My dad STILL to this day, tears up over it. It was on the news and everything.
ETA: My neighbor's father if FDNY not NYPD.

FH wants the bagpipes as well....he hasnt found anything out yet but as soon as he does i will let you know.
