NyQuil Hangover??

I've been fighting a cold since Sunday (I'm winning today!) and started taking NyQuil & DayQuil Monday night.

The past two days, I feel like I'm hungover: shakes, headaches, dry lips & skin. The other night - I actually saw trails!!

Anyone else experience this when taking NyQuil (or any other cough syrup)???

Take a break from it, if you can. NyQuil is potent stuff!!

i love NyQuil. I usually just get really drowsey and go right to sleep

All the time. I cant take anything like that without ending up in a stupor, even the daytime formulas.

I haven't even taken it every night - or even more than once a day (except for Tuesday - I took 2 night doses and 1 day ).

I've never experienced this before. LOL - this is crazy.


ETA: Thanks Christine! I'm actually feeling much better (cold-wise) today.

I get that way when I take non-drowsy medication - it has the complete opposite effect on me as it's supposed to! But I don't get the same effect with Nyquil and Dayquil gel caps, so thats usually all I take.

I dont' get drowsy on Nyquil. It makes me feel better but I don't get tired over it.

What are 'trails'?
