ocean city bachelorette party?

I am thinking of having my bachelorette party in Ocean City, MD. Has anyone been there for one or had their own or has even been there before? I have never been so I don't know any good hotels, restaurants, clubs. Also I was thinking going a friday-sunday should I rent out a home for the weekend instead? Any ideas please help!!!

been there August 2012 it is really nice!!!the beach is beautiful and clean! there's so much to do on the boardwalk...I suggest to find a hotel on the island cause I went there with my family and we went to comfort suit inn (just right out of the bridge) and driving back and forth was kinda annoying. However it is really nice and definitely would consider it!=)

i went there but i found the boardwalk to be not so exciting ( i was young and i think expecting more jersey shore type boardwalk). secrets is a great place to stay, we stayed on the boardwalk and actually spent every night at secrets LOL

I would only go during peak season, July - September!! I went one year in May and it was pretty dead. If you go, stay near Seacrets - best place ever!!!!! We stayed at the Quality Inn Beachfront. It's right on the beach, and within walking distance to Seacrets.

i think we stayed at holiday inn but if there are 2 it was really really far down the boardwalk.

Seacrets is awesome. There are a bunch of hotels down there. Whats nice is you don't really have to drive around because they have a bus that is like $2 for the day. I have stayed at the Princess Bayside and at the holiday inn before.

FH & I went last summer. We had a great time. We went with FFIL, FSIL, FBIL and our two nieces. I cant comment on the night life because we had a timeshare & usually went & hung out there when the kids were sleeping. I loved the beach & boardwalk. We did go down to the boardwalk at night & it was tons of fun. I would def. reccommend it, though I cant help with the hotels.


ETA: If you do go & love crabs, you MUST go to HOOPERS!

There is also a Quality Inn Boardwalk. The boardwalk is farther from Seacrets. FYI, for $1 a day, there is a bus that runs up and down the entire strip all day so anywhere you want to go is really easy to get to.

There's been talk that FH is going to Seacrets for his BP. Sounds like a dirty strip club...lol Now I'm getting jealous after reading the reviews and seeing pictures. I wanna do a funny girls weekend, but I'm sure he's not going to be thrilled about us going to the same place. He's never been very keen on Jack and Jill type parties.

I was thinking of doing our BPs the same weekend so as to not leave one of us alone thinking about what the other is doing. Because we don't live with eachother, the weekends are usually the only time we have together with crazy work schedules. Not to say we can't spend any time away from eachother but for one of us to be away all weekend would leave the other all alone

I love Ocean City and go every summer!!! It depends on what you are looking for. You have to like the 'jersey shore' type party to enjoy Seacrets. It's not so much my crowd, but I liked it! You just have to know what you're getting there. I definitely suggest it. I stay in an amazing condo on the boardwalk. I've also stayed at the Grand Hotel on the boardwalk which is a bit expensive, but every room has a view of the Ocean. There are many bars/restaurants on the boardwalk as well, but really no club, you'd have to go to Seacrets for that and a few other off the boardwalk.
