Welcome to the official October thread.

This is where the '6 month girls' can chat about our weddings, how BUSY we will be this summer (summer? what summer?) and make sure we are all on track.

UHHHHH isnt he just the cutest! I met him @ pocanos racyway 3 yrs back in autograph alley. GOSHHHH i wanted to take him home! haha! The FH knows if there was any star or sports guy to get it on with it would be JR. I felt like such a NY'er when I go to races we dont blend in. All dressed up, looking all guidette! haha We should go to a race....


how funny - I was at that race and on pit road and all of that, three years ago too and so was FH, but we just weren't together... But we did speak to each other a lot on the phone during the race...

We should def. go to a race


HAHA sweet we were all @ the same race! All i know is leaving PA raceway is insane hours on those windey roads to no where, and people on their lawns selling is soda and chips to all the race fans.....

If you guys love #8 I have soooo many diecast models in my office, holy cow we have alot on display. Fh always wanted a room for that! Me 2! WE should try DE raceway, thats a great place I hear!!!

Autumn, Date twin, I'm going to have to agree with everyone else... Don't panic, but I'd really order my invites before Aug 7th... Mine went out last Friday.... Our wedding weekend is a holiday and people usually require advanced notification for that so I erred on the side of being cautious.... it's not too late... but i really would try to get them ordered this week and out by early Augst

Another date twin here...i also agree. I'm actually freaking b/c our proof took almost 4 weeks when it should've take 2 to come in...our invites are supposed to be ready on monday. we pushed back the response date to sept 7 (orig was the 1st to give us more time). Did you send out save the date's? I wouldn't panic but I'd definitely do it asap.

BTW i HATE guest lists!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm a week BEFORE you and mine are going out tomorrow. I have an RSVP date of Sept 1. They should go out 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding, so I think you're all fine. Some people just sent them out early b/c they had OOT or maybe because of Columbius day weekend...

No one helps me at all. I don't mind, this way it gets done the way I want it done. FH and his dad own a SCUBA diving center so he's working insane hours so he can't really help me. I get nervous when he does shark dives, I keep telling him if he gets eaten by a shark I'm STILL having this wedding!!

its juyst the desicions that BP need to make and they are giving me the run around
i just feel overwelmed on top of the wedding i am taking care of my almost 2 yr old its very ruff

Now that I am pregnant, everyone has been pretty good about helping me.
My MOH just set up our hair and makeup appts today, so that is another thing checked off.
Next week we will address the envelopes to get them ready for mailing by august 12-14th

I agree.... I feel like FH has no idea how much workneeds to be done. I am constantly do wedding stuff every free second i get - and he is just playing VIDEO GAMES!!!!

absolutely! my mom offered and offered like 25 times to help prepare the favor boxes so I had her come over one day last week. she did the first half of 4 (4 out of 120!!!) and told me, 'this is boring,' and went home shortly after - gee, thanks? I don't mean to complain but when people are so insistant on helping and then turn out to be the total opposite, it's really frustrating!

I am the opposite. I have everyone nagging me to come help and I dont want it. I rather do it myself and know it is done my way. I guess I am a bit of a control freak.
Sometimes I feel bad because I have to actually sneak and do things because I dont want anyone to just join in and start helping me.
Ask me the same question next month and my answer might be different now that I realize how much stuff I still have to do.

I hear you... I finally got help from one of my BMs(I have 9) last night.. The favors and programs are almost done.

We got scuba certified this summer... I can't wait to go on night dives and shark dives... Diving in Hawaii is going to be so much fun

I know, my FH is so looking forward to diving in Bora Bora since he goes diving in LI sound EVERY DAY - it can get boring!

Congrats on the invites.. Wait once you start get the responses... It gets very exciting..

Almost my entire side responded... Hardly any of his did... His brother and sister haven't even responded yet

don't laugh the pics DO NOT do this dress justice....It sooo sparkly in person, DAMN sony Dig cameras. Plus the damn thing was soo big on top.......Needless to say alittle sewing will be needed.....
